The Art of Looking Study Guide

The 45 page, illustrated ART OF LOOKING STUDY GUIDE  describes each section in the six Units included in this  video-based series. Comments guide you through the 12 hours of digital content, offering study suggestions, clarifying terms, issues and questions, providing lists of images and a bibliography.

I often refer to your use of a journal not only for assignments in THE ART OF LOOKING but as a record of what you see and how you respond to what you see in your own environment. This is a valuable practice. Looking at art is an active event --- and cumulative. Try to continue to maintain this material record and build on it.

Students working towards academic credit may receive assessments other than those suggested in THE ART OF LOOKING—or may be required to complete additional readings or participate in on line discussions, etc. as determined by their instructor.
